The Sydri Bru is a very productive beat on the Sog with 80 to 240 salmon landed annually and frequently produces the heaviest salmon in Sog each year meaning salmon of 20 pounds or bigger.

This single rod beat in Sog is only 45 minute drive from Reykjavik, is perfect for those who don’t want to travel far from the capital for a couple of days of salmon fishing.  It has a fantastic house that comes with the rod and plenty of activities in the area for all of the family.



Most common weight of the  salmon is about 5 to 10 pounds with a few fish caught each year around 20 pounds

Sydri Bru beat also have a healthy stock of arctic char. The size of the char can be anywhere from 0.5 pounds up the 5.0 pounds with an average size of around 2 pounds..

Accommodation is provided in a comfortable lodge beside the river. The lodge has a very well equipped kitchen for cooking, 3-4 bedrooms (sleeps 6-8), WC & shower, dining and sitting room, WiFi, TV. Also, the lodge has a separate storage room for waders, fishing clothing.
